mApp
mApp is a museum tour guide app. mApp is not currently available on the App Store, but it can be installed by Audioposts on iPod touches for use in your museum. mApp is currently in use in the Museums Sheffield Graves Gallery. Features include:
- Museum tour via touch controlled interface or a touch number keypad.
- Content can consist of movies and images, text, and PDFs.
- iPod music playlists can be enjoyed during the tour.
- Content can be simple HTML pages and images.
- Content on the iPod touch is updatable by the museum using FTP.
- Usage of mApp is logged to a file which can be emailed from the device.
